Material Handling Laborer

Your duties would include but are not limited to:


 

  • This person will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise.

  • Duties involve one or more of the following: manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.


 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Must have the ability to obtain a material handling equipment license, to include having and maintaining proficiency in standard or specialized equipment operation required to load or move materials and products (such as starting, stopping, accelerating, maneuvering, and backing).

  • Must possess a thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and plans, and be able to utilize automated equipment and systems to scan, route, bar code, access materials, fill item requisitions, stow items, and process receipts.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
